Shotgun Stand
This may be our most versatile creation yet. When a 14’ flats boat came into our shop a few years ago and requested a Leaning Post and a Poling Platform, the Shotgun Stand was born. Part Leaning Post and part Poling Platform, this platform serves two functions. It is mounted in the Leaning Post position and has a vinyl closed cell foam cushion and an over sized casting or poling area made with a re-enforced fiberglass non-skid panel. The Shotgun Stand takes up less room and can be outfitted with flush mounted rod holders, drink holders, a fold down footrest, and a safety railing. This ingenious device has also been seen on the bow with a pelican hook design for a removable casting platform and leaning stand allowing anglers to cast for hours without having to add bulky seats to the bow.
